Types of electrical outlets and switches

This section is just going to touch lightly on a few of the variations of outlets and switches available today.

 

2 way switch

The standard wall switch used to control an item from one location only.

3 way switch

3 Way Switch used to control an item from 2 locations.

4 way switch

4 Way Switch to control an item from 3 or more locations.

Basic outlet

Basic standard Electrical Outlet.

GFI Outlet

15 Amp GFI Outlet. Used in areas where water is nearby such as Kitchen sink areas and bathrooms as well as outside usage.
